See how it works
Your inspection sheet, part by part.
Upload a PDF or a photo of the inspection sheet you use today. Wrynch reads it and shows the parts it would track behind each of your points. We don’t keep the file.
The AI’s first pass. In Wrynch you review the mapping and change anything before it’s used.
The problem
“Brakes: yellow” doesn’t sell a brake job.
A checklist rolls four pads, four rotors and the lines into one color and one note. The customer can’t tell which part, how bad it is, or whether it’s getting worse. Wrynch keeps your checklist and rates every part behind it.
One color and a note. Which rotor? Worse than last time? Nobody can tell.
Six parts, each with a photo, a number and its own rating. Next visit, each one is compared with itself.
How it works
From the bay to the customer’s phone.
Your tech shoots, the AI sorts, your tech signs off, and your customer approves the work.
Shoot each stage
Road test, under the hood, under the car. One burst of photos per stage, in any order. No tapping into each point first.
AI reads every photo
It matches each photo to the parts behind that stage's points and notes what it sees: looks OK, or what's wrong. One shot of a front wheel can cover the tire, pad, rotor and caliper.
Your tech signs off
Confirm, change or reject each suggestion, and enter measurements from the gauge. Nothing counts until the tech says so.
The customer approves
Your advisor adds prices and sends the report by text, email or link. The customer sees photos, plain-language notes and last visit's numbers, and approves work from their phone.
AI you control
AI does the sorting. Your tech makes the call.
- Every suggestion, including “looks OK,” waits for a tech to confirm it.
- Nothing unconfirmed reaches the customer: no finding, no photo, no sentence. There’s no setting to turn that off.
- When a photo can’t show which side of the car a part is on, the AI says so and your tech picks.
- AI can reword a note for the customer, but it never adds a finding, a measurement or a repair. Measurements come from the tech’s gauge.
Rating rules
Red means it fails the minimum.
You set what OK, Monitor and Immediate mean for every check, in mm or 32nds. The defaults start from federal inspection minimums and common industry limits. Change a limit and older inspections keep the rules they were rated under, so history stays honest.
| CHECK | ● OK | ▲ Monitor | ■ Immediate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brake pad | ≥ 5 mm | > 2 and < 5 mm | ≤ 2 mm |
| Tire tread | ≥ 6/32 in | 3–5/32 in | ≤ 2/32 in |
| Brake fluid | < 100 ppm Cu | 100–199 ppm | ≥ 200 ppm |
| Rotor | above MIN | grooved, scored | at or below stamped MIN |
| Tie rod play | none | < 1/4 in | ≥ 1/4 in |
Defaults include 49 CFR 570 in-use inspection minimums. Manufacturer specs override them.
Vehicle history
Every part keeps its own history.
Each pad, tire and shock is its own record, so the next visit shows how it changed, not just how it looks today.
- Advisors can say “5/32 today, 6/32 in March” instead of “getting low.”
- Customer approvals are tied to the exact parts they cover.
- Every rating keeps its photos and the rules it was rated under.
Recommended twice, declined twice. Now it fails the minimum. Example data.
Your template
Keep the inspection you already do.
Build your points in Wrynch, or start from the standard template, and name them the way your techs already do. Wrynch maps each point to the parts behind it and shows you what it mapped.
One shop's 34-point template became 166 parts.
Pilot program
Build Wrynch with us.
We’re rolling Wrynch out to a small group of independent shops first. Pilot shops use the full product on real inspections, work directly with the people building it, and help decide what comes next.
What pilot shops get
- The full product. Part-by-part inspections, AI photo sorting and AI note drafts, part history, estimates and customer reports with approvals.
- Unlimited techs, inspections and photos for your location.
- Your own inspection sheet. We map the template you use today to the parts behind it and set it up with you.
- Rating rules that fit your shop. Start from federal minimums and industry limits, then set your own.
- A direct line to the team. Questions and problems go straight to the people building Wrynch.
- A say in the roadmap. What pilot shops need shapes what gets built next.
What we ask
- Use it on real inspections. Run Wrynch on the cars coming through your bays.
- Tell us what works and what doesn’t. Short check-ins with your techs and advisors.
- Be patient with a new product. We move fast and fix things quickly; some features will still be rough.
Pilot spots are limited so we can work closely with every shop.

Resources
Questions shops ask
Do my techs have to change how they inspect?
No. They keep your points and shoot each stage in one go. The part-by-part detail comes from how the photos are sorted, not from extra taps.
Can one photo count for several parts?
Yes. A shot of a front wheel can show the tire, pad, rotor and caliper. The AI notes each part it can see from that stage, and the photo shows up under every point it covers. Your tech can add or remove parts on any photo.
What if the AI gets it wrong?
Your tech changes the parts on the photo or rejects the finding. Until they confirm, nothing counts and the customer can’t see it.
Can I set my own limits?
Yes, every threshold, in mm or 32nds. Past inspections keep the rules they were rated under.
How do customers get the report?
By text, email or a link you copy. It opens on their phone with no app to install and no login, and they can approve work right there.
